How can I successfully help my parents through the transition of moving while I have my own family to take care of?

That plan can include the execution of: sorting, organizing, packing, hiring and supervision of a mover, home staging, and donating, selling or disposing of unwanted household goods. We make sure we have a clear floor plan so everyone who works with us on your project know’s what’s expected. At your new location, we will arrange all the furniture and decorations so you feel comfortable as soon as you step over the threshold.

I’m getting older but my home isn’t “aging friendly”. Can you help?

We understand that you have filled your home with a lifetime of love, memories, and mostly stuff. Things that were so useful at one point but you haven’t touched since who knows when.

Now you need more space to move around your home safely. You need to access your bedroom, bath, and kitchen with ease. Now it’s time to organize the space in your home to be safe, comfortable, and complement your current needs.

Rainbow Senior Moves will create a custom plan that will re-arrange your living space so that you can comfortably stay in your home as you age in place. The plan can include any or all of the following:

Organizing, sorting, donating, selling, or cleaning out anything you don’t need anymore. Then we will make sure to establish a floor plan that allows you to safely and simply access areas such as closets, drawers, shelves, and cabinets.

We are connected to wonderful resources and can help you find experienced professionals to do any of the work necessary for this transition.

We have so much stuff. How will we sell our house?

Getting organized is the first step, but not an easy one. You most likely had no idea how much stuff you have stored away over the years in your attic or basement, under beds and in closets, and on high shelves or in your storage area. You’ll need to de-clutter all of it, then sort through to decide what goes where. This is where we come in.

With our years of experience in Move Management, Rainbow Senior Moves will help you get organized. Once we agree on a strategy to declutter, we get to work. When that part is complete, we can stage your home for sale, and we can also refer a Realtor if you need one.

I’m overwhelmed by the loss of my parent(s). Can you help me prioritize all the things that need to get done?

My divorce is final, and I have to go through the marital belongings and get the home ready to sell. Can you guide me through this process?

Yes, we can! A divorce is draining enough on its own, so having to divvy up memory-laden belongings and sell a home on top of that can be overwhelming. There is no good time for this and it generally has to be completed on a strict timeline.

We are here to help you with all of it – planning, preparation, and completion. Whatever services you need, we will arrange for you. Our goal is to make this as stress-free as possible during this difficult time of transition.
